The speculation began this Wednesday (1), after a number of senior sources affirmed that the deal between Hamilton and Ferrari has already been agreed, and the announcement could be as early as Thursday (2).

Hamilton signed a multi-year contract with Mercedes for 2024 and 2025 last year, but as it seems, he could leave after one season if he wants. Ferrari has already demonstrated interest in the British driver for years.
Ferrari were in negotiations over a contract extension with Carlos Sainz, as his deal runs out at the end of the season, but Ferrari president John Elkann then discovered that Hamilton was a possibility and moved to secure his signature.
Neither Ferrari or Mercedes commented about the rumors. Last week, Ferrari announced they extended Charles Leclerc’s contract in a multi-year deal.
