Ryan Gosling is nominated for an Oscar for ‘Barbie’

The list of nominees among the categories of the 2024 Oscars was released this Tuesday (23). Ryan Gosling was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Barbie. The actor played the film’s lead Ken, alongside Margot Robbie, as Barbie. She was not nominated, which generated controversy on social networks and some astonishment on the part of experts.

The mega production was nominated for 8 categories, including Best Picture. In addition to Ryan, America Ferrera received her first nomination and is up for best supporting actress. The two criticized the ‘snub’ that Margot and director Greta Gerwig took from the Academy. “There’s no Ken without Barbie,” he said. America, on the other hand, said that Margot has transcended and arrived at a magnificent point, and should be more recognized for it.
