Taylor Swift stated that the conversations began when Travis Kelce commented on his podcast “New Heights” about going to the singer’s show in which he had even created bracelets. “We started going out soon after that. So we actually spent a significant amount of time that no one knew about, which I’m grateful for, because we got to know each other”, she said.
Regarding the couple’s first public appearance, when the artist visited Travis Kelce at a match and met him backstage to celebrate, Taylor Swift reported that at the time the public thought it would have been the stars’ first meeting. However, both had already been together for some time.
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see you do what you love, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care. The opposite of this is that you have to go to extreme lengths to make sure no one knows you’re seeing someone. And we are proud of each other,” said the singer.
Recently, Travis Kelce also commented on the relationship in the December and January edition of the Wall Street Journal magazine, stating that it is a challenge to be living and having the experience of a romance with a great artist, in addition to the exposure.
