‘Bridgerton’ | Hannah New, from ‘Black Sails’, joins the cast of season 3

The star of Starz’ series Black Sails Hannah New has joined the third-year cast of “Bridgerton”, a Netflix. According to Deadline, the actress will play Lady Tilley Arnold, a firebrand widow.

“Widowed at an early age, she enjoys the privileges and power that come with being at the helm of her former husband’s estate, living life on her own terms with financial independence”, revealed the Deadline.

Still no release date, season 3 of “Bridgerton” is already in production in London. This time the plot will focus on the romance between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton), the discovery of Lady Whistledown. Penelope will have the help of Colin to win a fiancé, developing, in fact, a love story between the characters. Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips and James Foon have also been confirmed as new cast members.

Season three welcomes new showrunner and executive producer Jess Brownell. She replaces Chris Van Dusen, who left last season. Van Dusen, continues as executive producer alongside Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Tom Verica. The two seasons of “Bridgerton” are available on Netflix.
